The Space
Canal Cottage Living Space – The Cottage has an open plan kitchen/dining and living space, the main bedroom is on the ground floor, please note there are 2 x single beds on the first floor, this has been built in a Mezzanine style, which means this is partly open to the double-height ceilinged floor below, and overlooking the downstairs area.
Drumshanbo is a short walk from local shops, pubs, places to eat, and the Gunpowder Gin Factory is within walking distance along with the Blueway Board Walk.
The town is situated only 13km from Carrick on Shannon, a bustling town, and now one of the most popular inland resorts in Ireland. It is situated on the shores of the majestic River Shannon and is both the county town of Leitrim and the cruising capital of the Shannon. From Carrick-on-Shannon or Carrick as its known locally the beauty and wonders of the River Shannon & Shannon Erne Waterway awaits visitors from near and far. With 750km of cruising available the town is ideally situated at the gateway to both the River Shannon to the south and the Shannon-Erne Waterway to the north. Pleasure cruisers available for day trips are on offer for those who are not taking a cruising holiday. Carrick is also widely acknowledged as an Anglers paradise and within a 10km radius of the town there are no fewer than 41 lakes. A celebrated angling center Carrick-on-Shannon also boasts fantastic fishing opportunities for the amateur and professional fisher with many species of game and course fish available within a short distance of the town.
Guest access
Guests have access to the full cottage, and there is sufficient parking directly outside for 2 cars.
Other things to note
We are unable to facilitate single sex groups for parties and events at the property or accept reservations for groups of Hen and Stags.
We are happy to accept same sex groups, who are participating in club activities I.E sailing, yachting water sports, boating, local music festivals etc.
Please be respectful to residents in the area between 22:00pm – 06:00am
1 x Well behaved pet is welcome at Hosts discretion please request on contact.
No Tumble Dryer at Property, and No Dishwasher is installed, a portable Dishwasher is available on request.
Property has 2 x TV – No TV – on Mezzanine Floor where single beds are situated.
TV – Available channels are local – with access to Amazon Prime TV where free movies, and TV series are available.
